Namibia shines at Africa’s Eden Global Travel Show

The Africa’s Eden Travel Show – Global Edition 2025 concluded in Victoria Falls this week, bringing together more than 100 exhibiting companies and 92 global buyers in one of the region’s most commercially productive tourism gatherings to date — with Namibia emerging as one of the standout destinations.

Africa’s Eden is a tourism association representing Angola, Botswana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The three-day event, which drew representatives from over 35 international source markets, recorded an estimated 3 768 one-on-one meetings between buyers and exhibitors. Namibia’s delegation reported exceptionally strong interest from operators seeking nature-based, conservation-driven travel experiences, a niche in which the country continues to lead.

Namibian tourism businesses and conservation organisations used the platform to showcase the country’s iconic desert landscapes, community-run conservancy lodges, wildlife encounters and expanding air access links. Exhibitors said global buyers demonstrated high levels of product knowledge and were eager to grow their Namibia offerings.

Natural Selection’s Nadine Smith applauded the event’s quality, saying the show delivered “seamless organisation and unforgettable moments,” while buyers echoed the sentiment, highlighting the calibre of exhibitors and the value of face-to-face engagement.

“Africa’s Eden is an excellent trade show... I have returned inspired and motivated to sell Africa with even more passion,” said Daniela Köster of Genus’s Touren.

Victoria Falls was widely praised for hosting what many described as one of the strongest Africa’s Eden shows to date.

In the lead-up and days following the main event, several buyers joined regional familiarisation tours — including trips through Namibia’s major tourism circuits. These first-hand experiences are expected to translate into more diversified itineraries and deeper market penetration for Namibian destinations.

The event also featured the Africa’s Eden Leaders’ Forum, where industry leaders discussed regional issues such as air access, marketing, tourism data, and skills development. For Namibia, improving connectivity and strengthening destination marketing remain key priorities as the country works to expand its international footprint.

Africa’s Eden CEO, Jillian Blackbeard, said the 2025 edition demonstrated the power of collaboration in southern Africa. “This year’s Global Edition showed what is possible when our region comes together with purpose — a showcase of creativity, unity and commercial strength.”

The organisation has already opened registration for its next major events: the Africa Edition scheduled for 29 March to 1 May 2026 in Victoria Falls, and the next Global Edition set for 17to 20 November 2026 in Kasane.
