Who can travel to Norway?

Everyone who has a valid visitor’s visa or who is entitled to visit Norway without a visitor’s visa or who holds a valid residence permit in Norway.

What happens if you get COVID?

If you are infected with COVID-19, it is recommended that you isolate yourself for 4 days, or until you no longer have a fever. Covid tests can be purchased in pharmacies and supermarkets.

What are the current rules and recommendations?

There are no rules in place relating to quarantine or isolation.

You do not need to test for COVID-19 even if you are experiencing symptoms.

You should stay home if you feel ill and experience respiratory symptoms.

You do not need to register a positive self-test.

You do not need to take a PCR test. If you need a test as documentation for your COVID-19 certificate, you will need to pay for the test yourself.

You should avoid contact with people in risk groups if you have respiratory symptoms.

Do I need to quarantine or isolate?

No, there are no longer any rules or recommendations to quarantine or isolate but if you feel ill and experience respiratory symptoms, you should stay home until you feel better. You can go about life as normal if you are not experiencing any symptoms.

Can I visit someone in a risk group?

If you have respiratory symptoms, you should avoid close contact with people who could become seriously ill if they get infected.

If you still choose to visit someone in a risk group, you should wear a face mask.

I am going abroad, do I need the COVID-19 certificate?

You may be asked to show a COVID-19 certificate if you are travelling abroad.
