The Tsumeb Museum in the Oshikoto Region was established in 1975. It focuses on Tsumeb’s mining industry and its history as well as on the artillery which was dumped into Lake Otjikoto by the German Schutztruppe during First World War to prevent the South African Forces using it against the German colonial forces.

The museum also offers visits to a close-by mine.
